10 Funky Jewelry Lines You’ll Actually Want To Invest In (And Where To Buy Them)
By Rachel Hodin
Only recently has it come to my attention that I am my mother’s daughter. Moments when I find myself color-coordinating my hair ties, or bargaining with my dentist (O.K. FINE. $30 for my root canal and that’s my final offer!) have a funny way of reminding me of this fact. And perhaps if I weren’t her daughter then I wouldn’t be the cripplingly sentimental, tight-hamstringed human that I am today. But then it would also probably mean none of those neon bead and lanyard bracelets I made at day camp — which, by the way, are currently back in.
At camp I struggled with capture the flag, was useless at soccer and could only get myself to run anywhere if there was a Creamsicle waiting for me at the other end. The only activity I ever enjoyed was arts & crafts, and not even the whole of it. I tried to eat the clay a couple times in pottery class. But the jewelry making part? Oh I certainly fooled around with some lanyard back in the day. In fact I slayed the box stitch.
But just in case you’re not in the business of buying twenty-year-old lanyard cobra-stitched into a bracelet from me, here are some other options to choose from.
