30% Of Republicans Support Bombing ‘Aladdin’s’ Fictional Kingdom Of Agrabah
By Jacob Geers
In a recent poll commissioned by Public Policy Polling, 30% of all Republicans supported bombing the fictional kingdom of Agrabah, as featured in Disney’s “Aladdin.”
Now, granted, we can all agree that Agrabah has some serious problems with their internal politics. The royal family seemed to be blissfully unaware of the corruption that riddled the government,

And of foreign nationals trying to influence the citizens with bribes,

And of the backbreaking poverty that forced people to steal food just to survive,

But hey, that doesn’t mean we should bomb them! Surely there are diplomatic avenues we can explore first, right??
Public Policy Polling actually does this quite a bit. They throw in some non-existent legislation, imaginary places, and ask questions about them. Because of people’s entrenched politics and inherent biases, they somehow develop strong feelings toward these bogus questions, and it leaves us all looking kind of silly.
And Democrats, before we get on our high horses, just know that 19% of our party also supported the bombing.
