7 Red Flags That Might Tell You He’s Not The One
1. Things move too fast.
It’s only been a short while since you’ve met and he’s already calling you ‘baby’ and ‘love.’ There’s a fine line between harmless flirting and beginning to act like you two are already something. I really believe there should be some nervousness in the midst of meeting someone new. Sometimes being extra smooth makes you guess if there’s honesty in his words.
2. He doesn’t bother digging deeper.
Attraction will only get you so far; personality is what keeps the conversation going. He says he’s interested in getting to know you and your hobbies but makes no effort to genuinely dig deeper. Don’t fall for those words. If he’s excited about something you’re interested in, he will want to learn more about it.
3. You can’t be yourself around him.
Are you too conscious or worried that you might say or do something something wrong or that it might make him angry? It’s no surprise that comfort comes with time. But sometimes, it’s easier to connect with some people that feel more natural.
4. His social media gives you clues.
Okay this one’s a bit creepy and doesn’t have to be a deal breaker, but let’s be honest, at the information we have available in this century it’s hard not to take a deeper look. It’s a blessing and a curse and using it to your advantage in this case will give you many hints about him. It may not be right to completely make assumptions, but if more than half of his Instagram followers are hot women and he’s going on binging-like sprees of local girls, you can get an insight on his personality.
5. His values don’t align with yours.
It’s a beautiful thing to be able to disagree on something and share your perspective with one another, but when disagreements turn into curiosity of whether this person shares the same ethics as you do, it becomes troublesome.
6. He says all the right things.
I find suspicion in a man who knows just what to say and when to say it. He says all the right things, but does he mean it? You’ll be able to tell sincerity in his voice.
7. You feel it.
I can’t say in certainty if “when you know, you know” exists personally, but I can tell you when something feels wrong in your gut, it probably is. You won’t feel anxious, stressed, or worried when you’re thinking about a future with him. You’ll feel calm and at ease.
