How Would You React If You Were Tipped $200?

Several servers in Orem, Utah are asked by two customers what their biggest tip of all time was. They’re then tipped $200 and the maddening joy of semi-wealth overtakes them.

Now don’t get me wrong, I like this video and I like that these servers have been given $200 each especially since several seemed to very much need it….but, but, but….I couldn’t help but notice that the Youtube page is monetized….and has 113,000 hits at the time of this writing which makes me wonder if this is sort of the future for viral ‘generosity porn’ videos which, to be clear, I do love. Is this a thing now? Spend $600 on server tips and make like $15,000 or whatever popular Youtube videos make in ad revenue? I’m not even sure I think that’s bad, actually, but I do think it’s different and I’m having trouble wrapping my brain around it.
