Ariana Grande And Pete Davidson’s ‘Casual’ Relationship Turned Into An Engagement After Only A Few Weeks Of Dating

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, the hottest couple of the moment, are officially engaged. And it is, um, concerning.

Grande and Davidson sure haven’t bothered hiding their relationship. Last week, Pete got two tattoos in honor of Ariana (her initials and her iconic bunny ears), and Ariana’s nonstop (obsessive?) Instagram posts about Pete are both sweet and nauseating. At least she seems self-aware about it?

But no, that’s not the real concern here. Because, like… is anyone going to comment on the fact that these two haven’t even been dating a full month?

In fact, it was only mid-May when Davidson confirmed that he had split with his girlfriend of two years, Cazzie David (only a week or so earlier, David had shared a pic of the two cozying up together). Ariana also recently opened up about her own two-year relationship with Mac Miller, which ended sometime around Coachella. It wasn’t until May 21st that sources began spilling the beans on Davidson’s and Grande’s “casual” relationship, which seemingly came out of nowhere. Since then, the couple has been inseparable.

“It’s a recent engagement,” a source told PEOPLE. “They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding.”

Who needs casual when you could just jump right in to full-on serious, amirite? But seriously, Ariana, as your unofficial older sister (who is actually younger than you lol sorry babe), I beg you to slow down just a bit. I wanna be happy for you, but this is kind of concerning. If you really think you have forever together, why not wait a bit? You’re still so young, girl.

I’m not sure how soon the two will get married, but I’m hoping it’ll be a little more than, uh, a month. Stay tuned for all the inevitable engagement drama that is sure to come.
