It seems we’re all lost in the never-ending black hole of literature which may or may not be helping us with its vague clues on how a 20-something is really supposed to be surviving and what it really means to be living the dream and how everyone else is winning at life so easily… But the truth is, there is ultimately no treasure map that can guide any of us through the absurdity we call life. I can offer you some solace, however, with a powerful short documentary and the insight of Oscar Wilde:

The aim of life is self-development. To realize one’s nature perfectly – that is what each of us is here for. People are afraid of themselves, nowadays. They have forgotten the highest of all duties, the duty that one owes to one’s self.

And with that, I leave you to discover this incredibly unique and compelling short documentary that expresses just that – taking “The Scenic Route” to realize one’s self. And did I mention the doc features Nick Waterhouse, LA’s rebel style R&B extraordinaire, as one of its main subjects? It’s worth the watch. Trust me.
