Don’t Let Social Media And The Internet Take Over Your Life

By

We live in a generation where the internet has taken over our real lives.

All I see is people on their smartphones scrolling through Instagram or on Snapchat posting what they’re doing daily. But the truth is, people has forgotten how to enjoy and live in the moment and it seems like all that matters is how they appear in other people’s screen so they can get all the attention.

I wonder, do people really enjoy posting on social media all the time?

Technology has created all kinds of social medias which is wonderful and has been changing the world in so many good ways, but at the same time it has dominated human beings. We have to be careful on how we use it or it will control our lives. Remember that you’re the one that’s in control of your own life. Do what makes you truly happy in real life. Don’t mind what people think of you through the phone screen. Because what you see on social media is not always real.> But we get so caught up on it that we believe what we see on the screen and believe it’s a reality.

The truth is, you can only see the reality with your own eyes.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t use social media at all, but you should be careful so it doesn’t take away your life. We only can truly enjoy our life when we live in the moment without thinking to capture it in a photo and posting it. Life passes like a flash of lightning, and one day when you get old, you don’t want to just remember that most of the time you were posting pictures on social media so you could feel valuable with the numbers of how many “likes” you got. Don’t let your smartphone take away the wonderful moments of your life.

It’s the beautiful and amazing memories that will always remain in your heart.

I believe that you can only feel real happiness from the relationships you have with the people you love. You wouldn’t need social media to keep in touch with the people you love because you should reach out to them directly if they are really important to you, and vice versa.

I just hope you can be that person that realizes that there is so much more to life than entertaining yourself with social media. Sometimes we could be missing out wonderful things that are happening in daily life because our eyes are caught on the screen too often.

So, don’t miss those priceless moments in life before it’s too late.
