Strong, Emotionally Intelligent Women Ask For Help

By

Strong, emotionally intelligent women realize they don’t need to do everything on their own. They realize expressing vulnerability makes them stronger, not weaker. They realize it’s okay to reach out to others when they are in pain, to accept help instead of stubbornly doing everything by themselves.

Strong, emotionally intelligent women are not afraid of calling a friend or relative when they come to a crossroads. They are not afraid to admit they don’t have all the answers. They are not afraid to let the world know when they are struggling.

Even the strongest women feel lost sometimes. Even the strongest women break down and cry. Even the strongest women ask themselves whether they are actually strong or only playing a part.

Pretending you have your shit together instead of getting the help you desperately need is not the strong thing to do. Pushing away people who are trying to help you because you are worried about being a burden is not the emotionally intelligent thing to do.

You should admit when you are struggling instead of acting like you are perfectly fine. You should allow yourself to accept help instead of making life harder on yourself.

No one is going to judge you for needing a shoulder to lean on. Your family and friends want to be there for you, they want to help you through your tough moments. They don’t want you to suffer in private. They don’t want you to feel like you have to accomplish everything on your own.

Asking for help does not make you any less independent. It does not make you needy. It does not make you clingy.

Asking for help is a sign of growth. It means you are mature enough to recognize when you need another set of hands to help you with what you’re going through. It means you are strong enough to express vulnerability, even though it might make you uncomfortable, even though you would rather handle everything behind closed doors.

Strong, emotionally intelligent women leave their comfort zones for the sake of their physical and emotional health. They talk about their feelings, even when they’re embarrassed. They talk about their issues, even when they would rather erase it from their minds and act like nothing bothers them.

Strong, emotionally intelligent women surround themselves with a circle of people they can trust, people who would be happy to help them through any problem, big or small. They cut toxic people away and create their own version of family. They make sure their group of friends supports them, encourages them, and inspires them. They don’t have time to waste on negativity or pessimism. They are always moving forward, always looking ahead.

Strong, emotionally intelligent women are not afraid of looking weak or insecure by asking for help. They are wise enough to realize how much strength it takes to ask for help. They realize it’s okay to rely on other people. They realize it’s okay if they can’t do everything on their own.
