I Want You To Love Me Like A Necessity
By Keara Steele
I could ask you for a million things. Maybe even more. But all I really want is your love. I want you to love me so hard that it tears you apart to even think about not having me. I want to be a necessity for you. I want to be part of the reason why you wake up every day. I want to be a functioning piece of you. I want to be what keeps you sane. I want to be what keeps you healthy. I want to be your driving force. I want you to need me. I want you to need me like medicine.
I want to be necessary for your long-term well-being. I want you to see longevity in me. I want you to want this forever. I can’t see the future, but when you look at me, I don’t want you to ever imagine a future without me. I want all your hopes and dreams to include me. I honestly want to be all that you’ve hoped and dreamed for, so that when those dreams come true, we can always say that this is how it was supposed to be. I don’t want you to miss a dose of me. I want you to believe that if you did, you’d never get better without me.
I want you to be addicted to me. I want to be so important to you that you don’t even realize how much other things don’t really matter. I want to feel like a reward to you. I want you to feel like I’m the best part of your day. I want you to want just a little bit more of me with every passing second. I want you to feel uncomfortable when I’m not around. I want you to feel anxious for me. I want to be a positive disruption in your life. And even when you think you might want someone else, I want you to always come back to me.
But don’t overdose on me. I don’t want you to need me so much that it becomes toxic. I don’t want you to need me so much that it’s harmful to your well-being. I don’t want to ever be the reason things are going bad for you. I don’t ever want to be a problem for you. I don’t want it to be so bad that you need to be separated from me. I don’t ever want to feel like someone needs to intervene.
I just want to be loved like a necessity, not a desire.
