A Reminder To Keep Going Toward Your Destiny

I know you’re confused right now. I know that you’re looking ahead and unsure whether to go right or left. I know that you want to follow your heart. I know that you’re desperately trying to dig deep to listen to your intuition. Trust me, I know that you’ve done the work, so it seems like you should be able to make this decision easily.

I know that you thought the road would look different. I know that you imagined it to be difficult but that eventually, you’d get to a clearing, a lookout, or anything that your soul would recognize as making it home. I know you didn’t expect another turn–especially one that feels bigger than what you’ve asked yourself thus far.

I know your heart is racing while looking ahead and that you’re focusing on the time you think you’re wasting before you choose. Here’s what I’m going to ask you to do: breathe in.

Breathe in and know that you are not alone in the crossroads. You are supported. You are loved. You are enough to make the choice ahead of you. Don’t expect to know for sure which way is right, but remember that whichever way you choose is the right choice for you.

I know there’s anxiety coiling around your throat and belly and mind. I know there’s a little voice on the edge of your ear telling you all the reasons this isn’t doesn’t feel right. I know there’s a cloud of doubt above your head, and you’re bracing for the rain.

Here’s what I’m going to ask you to do: breathe in and breathe out. Breathe out and be like the wind. Exhale anything that is preventing you from moving forward. Let go of whatever is anchoring you to the place you feel stuck. Release so much that the cloud above you has no choice but to move.

And when the sun comes out? Know that it’s shining for you. Know that the way forward may have rain, but today there is a sun shining in your name. Feel the warmth against your skin, and let the light travel to your heart. Feel the glow within your soul, and you will know which way to go. Follow the compass in your heart, and trust you already know what’s best for you.

I know that all sounds beautiful but that it still sounds scary to you, and that’s okay. It’s okay that you want so badly to reach your dreams that it scares you to try. It’s okay that you fear making the wrong choice, but there is no choice that is wrong except the one you don’t make.

I know that not knowing what’s ahead makes your legs lock right where you stand and shake. I know that you are brave enough to live outside of your comfort zone but that this feels heavier because of how much it matters. I know that you are confident but that you’re worried about how far that confidence can take you.

Here’s what I’m going to ask you to do: breathe in, breathe out, and take one step forward. Take just one step toward your destiny to remind yourself that you can and that you are in control. Because becoming is not a race, becoming is a journey where you set the pace.

I know you wish you were further. I know you thought you would be. I know you saw something different, but I also know that there’s so much meant for you that you can’t see. I know you are looking at the people who had gone before you and passed you. I know you’re comparing yourself to other stories, but none of those stories are yours.

Your story peaks here. Your story has no one else as the hero or heroine. Your story is at the turning point. This is where the magic happens. I know you’re nervous about turning the page, but you can no longer choose to live in the beginning. Everything is happening right now to help you transform your life, your story, and your world.

This is the crossroads, and I promise you that you are not alone. You are not alone at this moment, and you will not be alone ten steps or one thousand steps ahead. You’ve got me, and I’ve got you. I know you thought it would look different, but remember that your purpose will look different too. It’ll be brighter. It’ll be wilder. It’ll be more magical than you imagined.

I know you want a sign to know which way to choose, but I’m here to remind you that the sign is within you. The only reason you have these questions is because the universe has always supplied you with the answers. You’ve had it in you all along.

I know you because I am you. And I know that you have what it takes. So, here’s what I’m going to ask you to do: breathe in, breathe out, and take one step forward. Go ahead; walk toward your destiny.
