It is not every day that one desires to go above and beyond in being the best version of themselves for a specific person. I thank you for helping me push myself to be that person.

No amount of love can express how much you mean to me because let’s face it, just being around you I realize the immense responsibility I have to help you always achieve above your fullest potential.

To see you means to see a person who is vulnerable, innocent, and ready to absorb any information that is thrown at them. This is why my responsibility is so great because it is my obligation to be your co-pilot as you navigate through the highs and lows of your life.

It is my duty to open every door for you, wait for you to sit down at the dinner table before I do, stand up for you, show you how to work smart, be there for your extracurricular activities, and remind you to be a loving daughter and friend.

It is my duty to ask you questions and take the time to listen because you should know you have someone who will listen to you and simply be there.

It is my duty to have the utmost respect for people because you must know that even when people make you mad, it is not worth it to dwell on it. I know that you are observing me when I am with my girlfriend and the way I treat her can subconsciously influence your decision making when it comes to a relationship.

To my little sister, I can only hope that when you see me do everything I can to be the best version of myself with continual upgrades, that you remember the small things I did when you begin dating. I can only hope that you now have the highest standards in what guys who desire to date you should do. If this is not the case, then I have not done my job correctly.
