All I Can Think About Is How It Would Feel To Kiss You Again
By Alex Arnt
I see you now and all I can think about is how it would feel to kiss you again.
And that scares me.
My chest gets heavy and my hands start shaking and my heart starts racing whenever I encounter you. It drives me crazy that this is how things are now.
Even though we’ve moved on, I still know all of your secrets. Like that silly joke you would make when you got nervous, or how much you hate that guy you work with, and how you tried to make it a habit of biting my lower lip whenever we would kiss. I wonder if you still laugh when you think of my distaste for avocados or smile when you think of that night last winter where we held hands and talked while looking at the stars through your car window.
I don’t think you can ever get over someone when you remember little details like this. These moments are so special because they can never be replicated. Even if things never go back to how they were at least there are the happy memories to hold onto. No one can ever take that past connection away from us.
