This evening, after my prayers I made a special prayer for you. And I am not sure if you believe in God or not, but the fact that prayer is sending nothing but positive energy in your direction, I hope everyone who has said their prayers are with you actually pray for you.

There was once-upon-a-time when people threw parties and did not use social media to get the word out. Those parties, without Facebook, Tinder, Evites – none of it, were fresh.
South Carolina was arguably the most vocal and vehemently against leaving slaves out of the census. Along with the other southern slave states, South Carolina argued that the slaves on their land were their property.
My beloved mother-in-law passed. Her springtime passing makes me reflect on all the transitions that we make in life and how we prepare and deal with the ultimate transition.
