I’m Not Sad That I’m Not Where I Thought I’d Be By Now
I have a long way to go as a person. I still make stupid mistakes and say things I almost immediately wish I could take back.

Love is communicated in so many ways. Don’t sell yourself short. Don’t waste your time pining for those words with no action behind them.
Our time in this place is in no way finite, but it’s ours.
Not getting to where you want fast enough? Try harder. Eat, sleep, and breathe the change you wish to see.
We’ve all felt that pain of someone’s absence. That crushing feeling against our lungs, the seeming lack of air. That impending sense that it was somehow our fault.
We’ve taken the cues, embraced them to build a life our old teachers would be proud of, ones we even secretly hope our parents will approve.
Let that stuck feeling shake you out of your rut. Let it inspire you. Find solace in the fact that feeling stuck means you’re trying, that you have a vision of where you want to get and a brief outline of how to get there.
The fact that hot beverages exist, which you can pour into your favorite mug, is a miracle.
I guess a part of overcoming that fear, of becoming a better person, is admitting the truth.
But the truth is that voice, that confidence, doesn’t come naturally to any of us. Because confidence isn’t something that we’re born with, but rather something we build up in stores inside of ourselves, from as far back as we are able to comprehend.
