Lovato has a history of drug abuse, most notably in her teens while working for Disney, which was chronicled in a candid MTV Documentary titled Demi Lovato: Stay Strong. While she was sober for six years, she recently released her single “Sober,” which revealed she had relapsed and hoped to seek treatment once again.
Celebrities immediately took the the Internet to show their support for the singer.

praying for @ddlovato and her health. When I was 14, she was an idol to me in how she spoke so openly about mental health. And now she continues to inspire thousands of young men and women with her body positivity messages. Addiction and mental illness doesn’t discriminate. 💔

Lovato was scheduled to perform this week in Atlantic City, but it looks like her plans are up in the air for now, though it’s likely upcoming shows will be cancelled. The best we can do is hope for the best for the Disney Channel starlet.
