Drake Finally Addresses THAT Blackface Photo

Yesterday, rapper Pusha-T released “The Story of Adidon,” a diss track that absolutely annihilated Drake, not only referencing his father who left him, but also his secret child from his porn star baby mama. It was, as expected, pretty messy. But the icing on the cake was the song’s cover art: a photo of Drake wearing blackface, which Pusha-T insisted wasn’t an edited image.

While Drake hasn’t yet responded to the slew of allegations packed inside the three-minute song, he DID take to Instagram stories to address that blackface photo, which, as Pusha-T claimed, wasn’t photoshopped.

According to Drake, the photo was from 2007, when the rapper was still an actor and working on the Canadian hit show Degrassi: “I was working on a project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotyped and type cast. The photos represented how African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment.” The photos were supposed to shed light on the issues black actors faced while auditioning for roles.

Well, I guess it makes more sense than just running around in blackface for fun. Still, I want to know how Pusha-T got his hands on it, along with all the other dirt he spilled on Drake. Is it wrong for me to want more?
