Here Is The Foolproof Way To Get Revenge On Your Ex Once And For All

In my 23 years of living, I’ve come to find the best way to get revenge on your ex is to simply be happy. I’m not going to tell you to go egg their house, or to go f*** their best friend. I’m not even going to tell you to snapchat them a picture of you with another guy, or to block him on all of your social media accounts (although you should definitely do this ASAP).

This is what you’re not going to do.

Blackmail him, cuss him out, call him fifty times a day, TP his apartment, get all your friends to evil glare at him every time they see him, show up at his place uninvited just to make him uncomfortable, text him about dates you have been on, text him about the new guy in your life, and blow up his Facebook page with pictures of your new bf.

Even though every inch of your body is craving to make him hurt the way you did, and to make him feel like the piece of shit that he probably is, this ultimately isn’t going to fix you, or heal you. It’s just going to make everything more messy, more painful and more messed up.

This is what you should do.

Move on with your life. Quit the job you hate. Get a job you love with all of your heart. Plan fun get together’s with your best friends. Drink one glass of wine while watching The Bachelorette instead of getting shit faced. Take care of yourself. Doll yourself up once in a while. Listen to “Picture to Burn” by Taylor Swift instead of literally setting things on fire. Dance around in your room. A lot. Wish them well. Don’t talk shit about them.

Let them go and think only good thoughts for them in the future.

Don’t attempt to contact him if all you’re going to say is something negative. Don’t lead him on just to mess him up more. Don’t egg his house, because you will probably get arrested. Or at least get your hands covered in egg yolk that sticks to everything you touch. If you try to TP his house, you’ll just be wasting a crap ton of rolls. And you’ll be wrecking the environment too.

So you see, none of these evil revenge tactics are going to be beneficial for you. Karma is going to bite you in the ass as soon as you start putting all of that negative energy into the air. You are so much better than those silly, childish acts.

Rise above the hate, rise about your rage, and channel all of that anger into something good.

Be better than your ex. Be better than the thrill and adrenaline rush you want to experience. And be better to yourself instead. Start living how you want to live, and obsess about your new life instead of your ex. Be happy. You don’t have to ruin someone else’s life, to get by. You just have to better your own life, and shine light on the good parts of it.

Be grateful for all that you have, and don’t dwell on what you don’t have.

Show your ex that you’re more powerful than the hate. Show them that you can rise above the pain. Show them you’re a force to be reckoned with. And that you are happy being alone. You’re happy just with yourself.
