How You Are Ruining Your Life Without Even Noticing (Based On Your Birth Season)
Winter
You are always expecting something chaotic to occur. You imagine the worst case scenario instead of considering the way a situation could work out for the best. You are a pessimist — or as you like to call it, a realist. The world has screwed you over in the past and you expect history to keep repeating itself. You are never able to enjoy the moment, because every time you find yourself having a good time, you ruin your mood by thinking of how it will end soon. Since you don’t believe happiness ever lasts long, you have turned yourself into someone who is more comfortable in your misery. The world is not the reason why you’re so sad all the time. You are. You can’t control what happens to you, but you can control how you deal with the aftermath.
Spring
You have trouble with commitment, because you like to have freedom. Independence. Options. You hesitate when it comes to making major life decisions, because you are worried about making the wrong one. The problem is that you always feel like the grass is greener on the other side. You’re always yearning for something that you can’t have or that you used to have. You would rather let your future self worry about what career you are going to pursue or where you are going to live or what kind of person you are going to marry than figure it out today. You are ruining your life by refusing to sit down and decide what you really want. You can’t keep putting off adult decisions forever. If you do, then you’re accidentally going to end up with a life you settled for instead of a life you truly wanted.
Summer
You are working yourself too hard. You are criticizing yourself too much. No matter how many hours you put into your work week, you still feel like you aren’t doing enough. You feel like you aren’t where you are meant to be and are falling behind your peers. You spend most days wishing you made more money, wishing you had more friends, wishing you were somebody else. You are accidentally ruining your life by refusing to see how wonderful it is. You have so much going for you. So much to be thankful for. You need to stop thinking about how much happier you would be when X, Y, and Z happens and start appreciating what you have today.
Fall
You play it safe. You are afraid of taking risks and afraid of change. Even though you aren’t entirely happy with the way your life is going right now, you aren’t doing anything to change the situation, because you are comfortable. It’s much easier for you to accept the way things are than to put in the effort to move out and quit your job and end your toxic relationships. You are scared of putting yourself out there. Scared of taking a chance. You are ruining your life, because instead of chasing after your dreams, you are expecting them to fall into your lap without doing any work. You keep fantasizing about your dream life, but you aren’t taking the steps to turn that dream into a reality.
