In A World Of Darkness, I Am Light

Like a beacon in the darkness, my inner beauty casts its illuminating glow throughout my world, lighting my path. Fueled by gratitude, generosity, positivity, and a passion for life, my beauty shines brighter each day as I strive to use my God-given talents as a force for good.

I feel gratitude for the good things in my life and express my appreciation throughout the day to those who would make my day a little brighter — to my family, co-workers, and even the stranger on the street who opened a door for me.

Today, I intend to take action toward my goals with gusto and do what I can to bring a little more good to the world along the way.

I once looked at a light bulb and asked myself, “What is light? What is it really?”

And this is what I’ve learned.

Like the moon gets its light from the sun, I get my light from Jesus.

That’s why Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”

We can show light in our eyes.

We can bring light with our smiles.

We can give light with our words.

We can demonstrate light with our actions.

Together, we can illuminate light with our hearts.

How do we show light in these areas?

By being like Jesus. Holy, upright, pure, and obedient to His Father’s bidding.

We can show light by being fierce in our confidence, ferocious in our faith.

Our Light determines our inner beauty.
