It’s Time To Admit We’re Scared

By

The stranger you just walked by is scared that something might have happened to their house while they were gone.

An athlete is scared that they might never be brave enough to step out of their comfort zone because of the possibility of failure.

A mother is scared that maybe she didn’t raise her children as well as she could have.

Your sister is scared that she is not going to be able to achieve all the things expected of her.

A teacher is scared that what she taught her students wasn’t enough.

Every person going to bed right now is scared that they are not going to be strong enough to handle what tomorrow brings.

My best friend is scared that she is making the wrong decision by falling for someone who continues to break her heart.

You’re scared that you spent too much time letting yourself be defined by what other people thought of you, instead of what you thought of yourself.

I’m scared that I’m going to regret trying to always make myself look like I’m not having a hard time, when that couldn’t be farther from the truth.

It’s okay to be scared. Being scared means we’re concerned enough to realize that there might be something wrong, that there might be something worth fixing.

It means strength, not weakness.

Admit it, you’re scared.
But know you’re not the only one.
