LA Traffic (A Poem)

By

Your horn, your lights,
your shiny new doors.
You’re a body of armor,
beware saboteurs.

Chew seaweed, go solar
Sip organic green tea
Sure to impress chums
At the N.R.D.C.

But Prius, don’t test me
My patience wears thin.
I’ll leave lights on and litter,
Your deadliest sin.

For this road is our battleground
Where boys become men.
Let God be witness to:
Monday, 5pm. Traffic on the Ten.
