Ladies—We Need To Stop Tearing Each Other Down, We Need To Empower One Another

Wouldn’t you agree that is hard as hell being a woman?

We live in a cruel world where women are still being mistreated, still being abused, still being assaulted, still being discriminated, still being raped and murdered, still being told that they’re not pretty enough, smart enough…Not good enough. We live in a world where women are still seen as inferiors to men. And still, women continue to turn against one another.

We as women have to go through many things men will never have to deal with. From the agonizing pain of giving birth, periods, and all the crazy emotions we go through.

We have it tough. We already face enough challenges as it is, so why should other women make it even more difficult for each other?

As I scroll down my news-feed on social media, I read so many negative comments left on ladies posts left by other women. I often see so many women always criticizing others and constantly trying to bring other women down.

If someone posts a picture of her makeup, then some women say “she looks so fake”, “she only looks pretty with makeup” or if someone posts a gym picture, “she’s so conceited” or “she thinks she is better”. If a lady has a nice body then it’s either plastic surgery or“she photo-shops”. I have gotten so many negative comments about me and most of them came from fellow women. We also have those women who rather see you fail than succeed. And we have those who secretly cheer against you while your back is turned, yet they smile at your face.

The sad truth is that amongst women, there’s too much jealousy, too much hatred, too much criticism and not enough encouragement and support.

All this negativity needs to stop.

As a woman, I have also caused my fair share of damage with my own words and I regret that very much. We all at some point have been guilty of judging another woman for something we were secretly jealous of. Instead of complimenting her we made rude comments to make her look bad so we could feel better about ourselves.

The truth is, there will always be other women that are prettier, taller, skinnier, fitter or have things that we don’t possess but at the end of the day we are all women here. So why are we the ones making it harder on ourselves?

We aren’t going to grow as women if we are the ones always tearing each other down. We need to eliminate the jealousy, gossiping and cattiness in order to create a more supportive culture among all women, instead of making enemies with other women.

We as women understand the struggles of other women more than anyone else does. Therefore, we must be better with each other because we know how difficult things can be for us. We need to work hard to remain on the same team. We need to connect with each other to make the world a better place. We need to build a community of strong women, who will help each other succeed. With the current events that are happening in our country I believe that it is imperative for us to come together. We must stand united and help one another, no matter what.

We as women need to lead by example. We need to show men how we must be respected and treated. We need to show our daughter’s how we need to act towards other women. We need to show our son’s the proper way to behave towards females and how they should be treated.

We as women must uplift one another. We need to help, work together, support, and empower each other because it makes things much easier and better for ourselves.

We as women need to compliment other women on their hair, outfit or makeup. Sometimes just a small compliment can mean a lot to someone. We need to encourage one another to tackle any obstacle that we may face. Sometimes a word of encouragement can help someone to keep moving forward. We need to celebrate each other’s victories. We need to celebrate each other’s success. We need to make an effort to spend more time spreading good words about other women than spreading rumors. We need to be more understanding with other women instead of judging. We need to celebrate womankind and all that that entails.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how you look. It doesn’t matter where you came from or what your background is. It doesn’t matter where you live now. It doesn’t matter how much money you make. It doesn’t matter what job title you hold.

We all are WOMEN.

We are all beautiful in our own way and need to learn to recognize the beauty in ourselves as well as in each other. We are all fully capable of accomplishing our goals. We are not in competition with one another, each woman is unique and has her own talents. If we stop dragging each other down, we can help one another to be better, do better, work harder, and treat each other better. We have the power to inspire one another. We have the power to change the world.
