Muslim Convert In Oklahoma Beheads Woman After Being Fired For Trying To Convert Co-Workers
“He was a nice, quiet, low-key guy,” said Saad Mohammed, director of information for the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City. “He acted a little odd,” Mohammed said, though he added that Nolen’s behavior never raised any “red flags.”

UPDATE: 30/SEP/2014, Western Live Journal has contacted me via email to notify readers that Alton Nolen never worked for WLJ under any of his names being reported in the media. They deny that he was ever employed there and do not know why he would claim such a thing. In addition, they included the following “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims, and our congratulations go out to Mark Vaughan, who reports indicate stopped what could have been a far worse tragedy. — The WLJ Staff”
Keep the above quote in mind as you read this because you’re about to see a bunch of “red flags.”
Alton Nolen beheaded one woman and attacked another last week at Vaughn Foods, the processing facility from which he’d been fired, reportedly for preaching conversion to Islam. Here’s a summary from the Huffington Post. I’ve bolded the important sections so you can skim through it.
Nolen was fired right before the attack, and that he then drove from the building that houses the company’s human resources department to its main distribution center.
Once inside, he attacked 54-year-old Colleen Hufford with a knife in the center’s administrative office area, eventually severing her head, according to police. Nolen then repeatedly stabbed 43-year-old Traci Johnson before Mark Vaughan, a reserve sheriff’s deputy and the company’s chief operating officer, shot him, police said.
Police asked the FBI to help investigate Nolen after co-workers told investigators he had recently started trying to convert several employees to Islam. Lewis said police asked the FBI to look into Nolen’s background because of the nature of the attack, which followed a series of high-profile videotaped beheadings by Islamic State militants.
This is everywhere in the media right now primarily because, aside from the horror of the attack, Nolen’s Facebook page reveals years of extremist rhetoric where he expressed hatred for both the West and Israel. It’s also kindled anxiety about the possibility of homegrow extremists given the expansion of extremist Islam around the world and focused in Syria and Iraq.
Over the past two months, the West has seen four beheadings of Westerners by extremists, all were civilians involved in either news reporting or, in the case of one Frenchman in Algeria, a tourist. Rightly or wrongly, the question the media is now putting forward is “are we going to see more of this?” I think, frankly, that’s a question without an answer at this point.
But let’s discuss Nolen, who went by the name Jah’Keem Yisrael on Facebook. He claimed to be from Jerusalem although I’ve seen zero verification of that. He’d studied Business Management at Langstom University and, prior to being fired by Vaughn Foods, his Facebook claims that he worked at Rockin’ T Livestock and Cattle Services and Western Livestock Journal (this has been directly denied by WLJ per the above update).
More importantly, he was vehemently pro-Islam and expressed support for violent extremism around the world. Pay no attention to the “share” numbers, they’re almost exclusively from people sharing these posts after the Nolen committed the beheadings.
And he loved posting pictures of Osama bin Laden.
This stuff speaks for itself but if you spend a little more time at his Facebook you can see other Muslims to whom he was connected attempting to make corrections to his thinking.
“This is pure madness,” she says, and she’s right. Nolen consistently misunderstands key religious passages or chooses to interpret them in the most extreme way. In the above, he wants to see Jesus as a violent figure just as in a later post he describes how Muslims should essentially disown their own family for not being Muslims. This is extremism 101 and you can sort of feel it growing as you go back through the months.
But even barring all that rhetoric, you can see where this man’s beliefs are as early as March of this year.
Those at Nolen’s mosque claim they had no idea this kind of thing might happen, that they didn’t know he was radicalizing and that may well be true since the above post was made before he began attending the Oklahoma mosque. But I have to ask then, what’s up with this justification for beheading of non-believers and why didn’t anyone say anything here either online or to him in person? You can’t tell me that no one saw this. The man had 1,500 Facebook friends, mostly Muslims, and no one said a word? No, someone knew, someone suspected. You’d have to be a fool not to.
