One Day, The Wait Will Be Over
One day, someone will appreciate everything about you. They will see the beauty in the way you laugh, cry, and smile. They will appreciate the way you sing, the way you dance, and all the stupid things that you do just to brighten up their day.
One day, someone will cherish everything about you. They will cherish the way you scream their name every time you have exciting news to share. They will take the time to listen to your story, no matter how long it might be, because they know how much it means to you.
One day, someone will be patient enough to understand you. They will take the time to know you and wait for you to open up your heart. They will understand that it’s not easy for you to be vulnerable and let someone in.
One day, someone will admire you for your kindness, patience, hard work and all the good and beautiful things that you do. They will root for you as you chase and build your dreams. And they will always be there to support you when you’re not at your best.
One day, someone will accept you and everything about you, the good and the bad, all your highs and all your lowest lows. They will value everything that you do that somebody else took for granted.
One day, someone will treasure you. They will hold your hand and not let go. They will hug you so tight that it will make you feel like everything will be alright, even if everything seems to be falling apart.
One day, someone will do everything to protect your heart. They will not let you go through the same kind of pain that broke you. They will take care of your heart as if it’s the most precious thing in the world, because for them, it is the most precious thing in the world.
One day, someone will love you so much and show you what it really means to love and be loved. They will choose you again and again. And they will show you that to love is choosing to stay, no matter what comes your way.
And one day, you will no longer have to try so hard. You will no longer have to fight for your spot. You will no longer have to question your worth. And you will no longer have to ask why you aren’t good enough.
Because one day, when you’re watching your favorite movie and holding a slice of your favorite pizza, you will look back and smile at the person beside you, realizing that finally, the wait is over.
And it was worth it.
