One Day You’ll Wake Up And Realize You’re Over Him
By Rania Naim
One day you’ll wake up and it will no longer hurt.
One day you’ll open your eyes and you won’t be crying, you’ll open the windows and you’ll decide to let the light in and one day you’ll wake up and he won’t be the first thing on your mind.
One day you’ll wake up and you’ll stop stalking to him.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t be checking your phone to see what he liked, who he followed or if he messaged you, you won’t care about what he does anymore or who he’s flirting with and one day you’ll decide to keep him on your list without blocking him because blocking him means you still care but keeping him means you can still see his name and it doesn’t bother you. One day you’ll wake up and he’ll be just another name on your news feed.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t miss him.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t wish things were still the same, you won’t wish he never left, you won’t wish you could share your updates with him and you won’t feel like something is missing in your life. One day you’ll wake up feeling complete and happy on your own and you will be okay with his absence.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t feel sorry for yourself.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t feel bad about the moments you wasted, the secrets you shared, the special conversations you had and the things you’ve trusted him with. You won’t feel sorry for being vulnerable or being too open or giving too much.
You’ll wake up and embrace the fact that this who you are, this is how you love, this is how you will always be and you will not change to play the game and you will not change because you’ve been hurt.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t feel sorry for breaking your heart in the name of love and one day you’ll wake up and you’ll be ready to love again.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t be confused.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t be asking a lot of questions, you won’t be wondering what went wrong or if it was all your fault, you won’t ask yourself if you’re good enough or if you will ever find someone to love you the way you love them and one day you’ll just decide to stop asking questions, to stop finding answers and just let it be and let him go.
One day you’ll wake up and you’ll forgive him and forget him.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t be angry, you won’t be holding grudges, you won’t be vengeful and you wont’t be in pain. You will feel his ghost getting out of your system, you will feel his weight leaving your body and you will feel lighter again.
One day you’ll wake up and you’ll realize that it’s as simple as that ‘you tried and it didn’t work out, it wasn’t meant to be, at least for now.’
One day you’ll wake up and realize that God has a better plan, that someone out there is better suited for you, that someone out there will not leave you hurting and crying, and eventually you will understand why things didn’t work out the way you wanted them to.
One day you’ll wake up and you won’t be concerned about those who don’t love you because you’ll be more concerned about loving yourself.
