The photograph appears in a fashion magazine. From this removed standpoint Eric appears God-like, almost perfect.

Slavoj Zizek is a maniac and thinks the world is going end soon. Reminds me of Saint Paul, the guy who penned most of the New Testament. In 52 CE, Paul said the end of the world was near in his first letter to Thessalonians (see, 1 Thess 4:15-18). Never happened though.

Kanye dropped a new music video today for “Monster”, the wildly bizarre track from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, featuring Jay Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver. Although the video leaked in December, this one is official, and some parts – like the Nicki Minaj bit –seem to have been changed.
Due Date is a bromantic comedy/road movie. I’m not sure of the origins of this particular variant on a genre that began with films like It Happened One Night, but Due Date is certainly not the first of its kind. It also might be called a screwball comedy, in that its characters are thrown into implausible, often absurd situations.
I’d gotten his number from a man who used to book him for speaking engagements. He told me: “Harvey’s real cool, just give him a call.” So I did. The phone rang a few times, then Harvey picked up. I heard that same voice I came to know from his days on Letterman. It was scratchy and distinct, loaded with character.
