People On Facebook Are Irate Because They Think Steven Spielberg Killed A Dinosaur
By Rob Fee
Just when you think you’ve heard the dumbest possible story you could possibly hear, the internet finds a way to outdo itself. Jay Branscomb posted the photo above with this caption:
Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.
To most of us, it’s obvious that this is a picture from the production of Jurassic Park back in 1993. Even if you’ve somehow never seen the movie, it doesn’t seem that hard to figure out that it’s not real. Mainly because, spoiler alert, dinosaurs have been extinct for millions of years.
This was news to quite a few commenters on Facebook.
Just read these responses and let it really sink in for a few minutes:
1. “Disgusting”
2. Pretty sure it’s the people who think it’s real.
3. You gotta do what you gotta do.
4. “Jarassic Park”
5. IDIOT LIBERALS! *Goes to Wikipedia and copies all info on the triceratops*
6. Hmm, I’m not so sure, pal.
7. The funny thing is, you’re still wrong.
8. You misspelled Texas. Oh wait, I get it. Thanks for putting it in all caps.
9. What a waste.
10. This was about 4500+ comments down the line and people are still chiming in to set the record straight.
The post has over 5,000 comments now so you can imagine the type of conversations that have spawned out of such hilarity. The outrage didn’t stop there. Branscomb posted a screenshot of a message he received:
I’m just glad people are standing up against poachers of a species that’s been extinct for millions of years. It’s encouraging, isn’t it?
