Don’t hate me in my moments of weakness
Don’t belittle me in my moments of confusion
Don’t yell in my moments of frustration
Don’t roll your eyes
Don’t ignore me when I need you
Don’t push me away when I need to be comforted

My wall was built for a reason and I work very hard every day to take it down

But some days I’m tired
Some days are hard
Some days I feel like I’m making no progress
Some days I need to be told it’s ok
Some days I just want to be held

And on these days, what I need most of all, is for you to be patient
For you to understand
And for you to love me

Please be patient
Please be considerate
But most of all
Please don’t give up on me.
