Stay Hopeful
On the days when your phone is blank without a single notification in sight, when the person you thought would turn into your forever ghosts you, when you feel like no one in this world gives a damn about you, stay hopeful. Things can change. Your loneliness will not last.
On the mornings when you struggle to climb from bed, when you skip your shower for the second time in a row, when you do not have the energy to make a phone call or schedule a doctor appointment, stay hopeful. Things can change. Your sadness can fade.
On the nights when you feel a meltdown coming, when you cannot hold back your floodgates of emotion for any longer, when you lock yourself in the bathroom to cry where no one can see you and judge you, stay hopeful. Things can change. Your luck can turn around.
On the evenings when you feel like you are a failure, when you feel like you are lagging behind, when you doubt whether you have what it takes to accomplish your lifelong dreams, stay hopeful. Things can change. You are going to take bigger steps forward sometime soon.
On the days when you cringe at old photographs of yourself, when you talk shit about yourself, when you swear you will never feel good about yourself because there are too many bad things to count, stay hopeful. Things can change. You will eventually learn to love yourself.
On the mornings when you stumble over your sentences with sweat running down your cheeks, when you fall into awkward silence because you have no idea what to say, when you feel like you are too socially inept to make new friends and keep them afterward, stay hopeful. Things can change. You can gain confidence in yourself.
On the nights when you feel like the world is an ugly place, when you hate everyone around you, when you wonder where all of the decent people have gone, stay hopeful. Things can change. Even people can change.
Stay hopeful because you are a beautiful human being inside and out. You are worthy of love. You are worthy of success. You are worthy of happiness.
No matter what barriers the world places in front of you, stay hopeful — but remember hope is not the only thing you need. You also need persistence. You need to take action. You need to put effort into bettering yourself and your universe. You have to become more comfortable using your voice. You have to take risks and leave your comfort zone. You have to make every second of your time count. You have to help yourself create a better future for yourself and for your loved ones.
Even though everything might feel like it’s falling apart right now, stay hopeful because things can change. You just have to take steps to help them change. You cannot give up on yourself. You have to believe in yourself. You have to trust yourself. You have to love yourself.
