The DJ Convicted Of Groping Taylor Swift Has A New Radio Job And His On-Air Name Is Super Fucked Up

Last year, Taylor Swift made headlines for a court case about sexual assault after a radio DJ groped her during a fan meeting in 2013. Swift delivered a strong, emotional testimony against DJ David Mueller and ultimately won the case, but all she asked was for one symbolic dollar to prove that it wasn’t about the money — it was about bettering the world for women.

Though DJ David Mueller lost the case, he didn’t do so with grace or dignity. In fact, when he paid Swift the reparations, he did it in a pretty fucked up way just to spite her. So should we really be surprised to learn that he managed to get a new radio job and is now using a pseudonym that’s actually pretty offensive?

According to the New York Daily News, Mueller is now working for Mississippi station Greenwood’s KIX 92.7, where he co-hosts a show called “Jackson & Jonbob.” His name on the show? “Stonewall Jackson”, aka the name of an infamous Civil War general. That’s right — Mueller went from being fired because of a sexual assault case to being hired under the name of a Confederate general. Should we be surprised?

Apparently the networks CEO, Larry Fuss, was totally behind hiring Mueller. He defended his decision in an interview with the Daily News:

“I sat down with him face-to-face in Minneapolis before I offered him the job and talked to him about it. He’s either the world’s best liar, or he’s telling the truth. I tend to believe his version of the story and most people who have talked to him face-to-face do believe his version of the story.”

Hard to believe someone who finds such shitty ways to pay his reparations and uses a Confederate general’s name might be a good liar, huh? Let’s just say that that’s a radio show I’m never going to tune into.
