I like to keep my finger on the pulse of the people. Know what’s important to them – the issues, the concerns, the fears.

Because my blog gets five billion hits a month now I can finally claim to be a participant in “big data”. I can see the general trends among people based on what they type into search engines to reach my blog.

Then, if I were so inclined, I could change my blog accordingly to just write about what it appears people are most interested in.

So here are the list of the most popular search terms that have gotten people to my blog in the past month:

  • “hardcore porn”
  • “oxytocin”
  • “50 shades of grey”
  • “shark tank”
  • “osama bin laden”
  • “i want to die”
  • “is porn bad”
  • “why is porn bad”
  • “is porn bad for you”
  • “alternatives to college”

Which instantly suggests money-making ideas. I will not do these ideas but I strongly recommend that someone take on one or two of these challenges, including my daughters if they have any ambition at all:

Someone should write these books:

  • “Is Porn Bad for You: Every Day You Don’t Read this You Lose a Day of Your Life”
  • “Oxylicious – The Oxytocin Cookbook that Makes You Lose Weight and Be Happy”
  • “How to Be The Shark at Shark Tank”
  • “Osama Bin Laden – 100 Things You Didn’t Know”
  • “I Want to Die – 100 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t”
  • And finally, take my book, “40 Alternatives to College” and make “1000 Alternatives to College”.

What about “50 Shades of Grey”?

Here is my idea: get the entire text of the book. Change all the names. Change all the job titles. Rewrite every sentence. And publish basically the same book. You can call it “The Billionaire’s Slave Mistress” or something like that. BAM! Make money.

In fact, you can do that exact same technique 100 times over to make 100 books with the same theme.

I could’ve made a joke about all of the above but, in fact, these are all serious book titles that based on my search engine traffic will make some passive income. You can even use fiverr to get someone to write these books for you for $5.

My guess is it would take 3-4 weeks to write ALL of the above books and publish them on Amazon and then make about $1000 / month on average per book. And if one of them is a hit, I don’t know, just put me in the acknowledgements in your second edition.

Then quit your job, live wherever you want (i.e. don’t buy a home), don’t waste money on college, love your friends, and have a life filled with freedom.
