The Unedited Truth About Why Your Dreams Aren’t Coming True

By

Our time here is fleeting. It’s shorter and scarcer than we realise.

We say: “I’ll do it tomorrow. I’ll start next week. Maybe next year would be the best time to do that.”

Each year gives us 365 days, 52 weeks, and just 12 months.

We get 24 hours each day. 24 hours that you will never see again. No refunds, no do-overs, no make-ups. Most of us wish away our entire week, waiting for the arrival of 5pm Fridays. Then like a flash, it’s Sunday, and we’ve got that SMONDAY feeling – ‘the moment when Sunday stops feeling like a Sunday and the anxiety of Monday kicks in.’

The thought alone of your Monday makes you anxious. So what are you going to do about that? Accept it as the norm? Continue to wish away 5 of your precious 7 days each week? Stay unhappy, bored, and miserable with the life that you have created for yourself?

Take a closer look at the ones who are seemingly living the dream. The dream that you’ve dreamt you could wake up to more than a hundred times over. What you don’t know about them is they once stood in your shoes. Yes, they did. The only difference is, they decided they weren’t content, they were going to make a change, and they were going to walk down a different road. A road most people are too afraid of, and far too comfortable where they currently are, to venture down.

They didn’t get lucky. And they certainly didn’t wait around for anybody else to hand them their dreams. They stood up. They took action. They worked extremely hard, and then a little bit harder. They paid no attention to anyone who said they couldn’t do it, and turned every single one of those negative comments into extra motivation to succeed. Every single day, they gratefully received their 24 hours, treated it as if it might be their last, jam-packed that motherfucker with greatness, and GOT SHIT DONE.

Whatever keeps you awake at night, thinking, wondering, and wishing; whatever gets you excited like a kid on Christmas Eve, whatever truly speaks to your heart. That is what you were put on this earth to do, and I urge you to not wait a moment longer to do it.

So many people are scared of failing, they don’t even bother to try.

They don’t believe their dreams are worth giving it a shot, so they file them away at the back of their mind, and guess what? They fail by default. They fail because they never tried.

Today has already begun, and as you read this it might be drawing to a close. That will be one more day of your life gone. One more day you cannot live again. The question you need to ask yourself is, “If I knew this was going to be my final day on earth, what would I do?”

Now go do it.

The trouble is, we think we have all the time in the world to start living the life of our dreams.
But we don’t.
