This 7-Year-Old Sent A Job Application To The CEO Of Google And Actually Got A Response

If you’ve never aspired to work at Google, you may want to reconsider your life choices. It’s benefits include massage rooms, free gourmet food and plenty of places on-site to relax and play games, like mini-golf, rock climbing and and go karts. No wonder even an actual child is eager to get her foot in the door.

Seven-year-old Chloe Bridgewater decided she didn’t want to wait to apply for a position with the company. She sent a letter to “google boss” explaining just why she wanted to work for him.

All together now: “Awwwwwww.”

“My dad said I can sit on bean bags and go down slides and ride go karts in a job in google,” she wrote. “I like computers too and I have a tablet I play games on.”

Well, you can’t say the girl isn’t ambitious — she also wrote that she hoped to work at a chocolate factory in the future, too, and that she plans to be an Olympic swimmer.

Unlike when I write letters to Very Important People, Chloe actually got a response from CEO Sundar Pichai himself.

Pichai gave the girl some words of encouragement, writing, “I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to — from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics.”

Pichai also said he was looking forward to receiving her job application — once she was done with school, at least.

If only we could all be seven again, an age of dreams and ambition when sending heartfelt letters to our future employers wasn’t considered “unprofessional”.
