This Year, I Hope You Lose

I hope you lose weight, especially the dead weight of a bad habit or that shitty person you’ve let hang around too long. I hope you lose control, lose it so bad that you start to enjoy the feeling of being free and inspired.

I hope you lose your patience, with people and things that aren’t worthy your time.

I hope whole heartedly that you lose self-doubt. That when you envision this year, the image of yourself is bright and admirable.

I hope you lose money. Lose it on adventure and experiences. Lose so much of it that you have a passport full of stamps and a camera full of pictures. I hope you lose sleep, because you are making your perfect little dreams into reality.

I hope you lose your breath, on laughing and jokes and dancing too hard.

I hope you lose fear, the fear of failure and the fear of uncertainty. I hope for you, you lose your heart. That you lose it to someone that knows your worth and that they make you lose your mind, in the most perfect way possible.

I hope you lose connection, with the internet and with that person that you need to let go of.

But at last, I hope that you lose the mindset that you must get things to see change and growth. Sometimes it’s about losing. So, this year I hope you lose. Lose everything that’s ever made you feel unworthy and unhappy. Because the only thing that I don’t want you to lose is time.
