What Did Britney Tweet At Iggy?

You might have heard about Britney Spears’ and Iggy Azalea’s single entitled “Pretty Girls”.

It was pretty much the music world equivalent of a box office bomb. According to the Daily Beast, it peaked at no. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, and sold only 96,000 copies (including digital and streaming). Ouch.

I think the song tanked because it was god-awful, but Iggy has another theory, and it involves Britney Spears.

As Twitter users did a double-take on this theory, Iggy attempted to clarify her remarks:

In an attempt to smooth things over, Iggy returned to Twitter a few days later to offer a softer touch, and make it clear that her and Britney were still friends.

Britney, however, must not have gotten Iggy’s reconciliatory message when she tweeted this zinger out:

Why is this one of this century’s best examples of shade throwing? Because Iggy was recently forced to cancel one of her tours due to low ticket sales.

Are Britney and Iggy still cool? Was Britney just poking a little fun at her friend? I guess we’ll find out soon enough…
