Yesterday, Gawker editor Neetzan Zimmerman unearthed “the greatest interview in television history” — a 1984 Today Show segment with a woman and her Satanic toaster. “SATAN LIVES” scratched into an old piece of terribly burnt toast is her first piece of evidence for ghost toast, and a veritable explosion of crumbs and other toaster stuff is the nail in the coffin. This fucking toaster is haunted! But the real zinger is at the end. When asked why, if the toaster is part of Satan’s army, she continues to use it, the woman replies “When all is said and done, it makes good toast.”
Seems reasonable.
