You Are Worth More Than Your Loneliness
Some nights you feel the void in your heart growing and you wonder if it’s going to be like that forever. You become exhausted trying to win against your loneliness, so you just sit in your room, and passively let it eat you alive. You train yourself to get used to that feeling, to that cycle, in hopes that it’s going to hurt you less the next time that it happens. You make loneliness your new bestfriend.
But you actually have the power to change the way loneliness makes you feel.
You can stop allowing it to destroy you and bring you to the places that hurt you. You have a complete control over your loneliness, even if it sounds like a lie, even if it’s hard for you to believe. You can evict loneliness from making a shelter in your heart.
And no matter how hard it may seem, you can always try.
Try to figure out the reason why all of a sudden you feel lonely. Try to remember the thoughts that trigger you to be lonely. Try to find ways on how you can avoid that.
You don’t have to worry about how you can do that in a matter of days or weeks. You can take your time, one baby step at a time.
You have to believe that you can overcome your loneliness. You have to convince yourself that you are strong enough to eliminate it out of your life, to stop it from influencing you, to disallow it from bringing you down. You have to be willing to fight it, and face it, because you are worth more than your loneliness.
You deserve a heart that doesn’t have too many holes. You deserve a soul that’s always alive, passionate, and ready to explore life. You deserve a sprit that is at peace all the time.
You deserve to live a life that is free from loneliness.
There are so many incredible things to discover, to experience, to try, to pursue, to love, to enjoy in your journey. The world is waiting for you to open your doors and leave that one thing that’s keeping you from being completely happy.
You are worth more than your loneliness. So please stop wasting your time being friends with it. Stop letting it stay in your life. And stop thinking it’s hard to abandon it. Nothing is ever hard, until you try, and do it.
Start finding things that make you feel complete, things that keep you going, things that make your body feel alive and your heart burning. Start finding people who make you smile, people who make you fall in love, people who make you feel thankful that you’re alive. Start finding reasons why life is worth living.
You owe it to yourself to bring positivity in your life. You owe it to yourself to try harder, push a little more, and keep going.
Because there’s going to be a day in your life when your heart seems to be where it wants to be. There’s going to be a day when you finally meet the person who’s going to be the sole reason why you can sleep tight at night. There’s going to be a day when your life turns out to be the one that you picture it to become.
You need to have faith in yourself that you’re going to survive this. You need to trust time to help you fill the gaps in your heart. You need to stop letting loneliness dictate you.
And never ever let it define you.
