You Deserve To Let The Light In

By

It’s hard to let the light in when that is all you have ever known. How do you let it in? Do you keep fighting and pushing everyone away so that you don’t get hurt again, or do you give in, drop all your hurt on the floor and walk towards the light.

I think everyone gets to a point in their life, at any time, where they start to question what life is actually all about. Why are we here? What is our purpose? Why am I here?

Especially when all you have known is suffering, stress, trauma, etc. You start to think what is the point, why carry on if this is all I am given? Why try to make things change when nothing changes?

What is the point?

The point is, you are here, you are still alive and you are breathing.

That is what your purpose is. To simply breathe and live your life the way you want too. Yes, some people have it easy, and some people have it extremely hard. You can’t compare people’s lives. Your life is yours and you make of it as you will.

So when it happens, let the light in, let the love in and let the peace flow.

For the ones who have suffered, it will feel dangerous and out of your comfort zone. But by putting that one foot forward into normality and walking into open arms of unconditional love. Just do it. Be free and be who you want to be.

I often question when good things happen to me, because I have it in my mind that I do not deserve happiness. But I do. Everyone deserves a chance at happiness and peace in their life. So when the opportunity comes along, grab onto it and don’t let go. Don’t take it for granted and be grateful every day you have been given a chance, you have been given a new path to feeling slightly saner than before. A new path with new opportunities, new people, positive, light, happy people.

I know your demons keep you safe, they keep you isolated and like you are the only person in the world who is losing their mind. I know your anxiety suppresses you and who you can become. I know your depression kills all motivation to even open your eyes in the morning. I know all too well that horrible feeling that seems to consume your body every day. But I couldn’t stress enough that things do change and for the better as well. You just have to give yourself a chance to feel it. It is absolutely terrifying but it is so worth it when you do.

Let the light in, and see the changes for the better, you got this.
