You’re A ‘First Place’ Girl, Not A ‘Just In Case’ Girl

When you suddenly realize your own worth, it won’t be so hard to finally close that door.

But before anything else, go back to the main reason why you’re feeling uncertain. If he makes you feel less, if you’re not the priority, if he can’t tell you he likes you or loves you genuinely, if he can’t put a label on whatever you have, if he can’t make you stay, if he proves you that he’s like the other boys who broke you, if he’s making excuses, if he treats you the wrong way and if he gives you a reason to doubt – then it’s time to let go and move on.

When your gut says ‘no,’ it’s usually never wrong.

Here’s the thing about this small voice every woman has. It is better than any crystal ball, any tarot card, or any psychic that you may come across. Your instincts feel it before he even reveals it. Your heart, mind, and gut – they all work in their own way but they all have something important to tell you. So don’t just hear it – listen to it. If you sense a red flag sprouting up in your mind, stop, slow down, listen and revaluate.

The time for hesitation is over.

You will never find your destiny down a dead-end road, so change your mind and take a u-turn towards the road filled with more possibilities and opportunities. Know your power, lady! It is time to throw on your best stilettos and start walking, because the future is waiting but it will never fight with the past to get your attention. Once you’ve made the decision to move on, don’t look back. You don’t have to.

New things can’t enter your life until you make room for them.

No matter how fabulous your new black dress, there will be no room for it until you clean out your closet. Let go of the old and make room for the new. You can’t just force the wrong guy to work out in your life if he’s not ready to welcome you with his all being. Don’t try to extend an effort unto something that’s going nowhere.

My point? The irony of life is always present in our daily lives, yet we tend not to analyze it until such time that it teaches us a lesson. Make peace with what has been and what will never be and in doing so, you usher in what is yet to come. You won’t believe what life has in store for you once you release the people who don’t fit you anymore.

If you’re the girl who’s always ready for love but slapped by it every time, remember that you’re not alone.

Let’s face it: in every single girl’s life, a bad relationship, an almost-relationship, and a fling-kind-of-relationship will eventually fall. It’s inevitable and you need to cope with it. Don’t feel desperate or ashamed, life happens. Allow yourself to be sad and feel the grief, but keep it in perspective; there’s nothing wrong with you.

Value your worth, don’t be the “just in case girl” who allows him to be with her when it’s convenient for him. Be the “first place girl” whom he will chase, court, and do everything in his power to be with.

Love yourself enough.

A busy, vibrant, goal-oriented woman is so much more attractive than a woman who waits around for a man to validate her existence. The most important thing here is to love yourself enough to pursue your own dreams and your own passions in such a way that you will never be mistaken for a girl without a life and a mind of her own.

Get reacquainted with you. Get back in touch with your goals, start a new hobby, pursue a new interest, start working on your dream career, travel as much as you can and before you know it – you’ll be smiling again. Good things will start to happen if you allow change in your life; follow your gut, your truth, and your heart. Isn’t our heart always more reliable than GPS, anyway? It leads you to what makes you happy and complete. So trust me when I say FOLLOW YOUR HEART.

For now, the only person you have to live with every day for the rest of your life is yourself, so start with making her happy and the rest will fall into place.
