A Roundup Of The Most Ridiculous #Transracial Tweets About Rachel Dolezal
By Jacob Geers
Rachel Dolezal was recently “outed” as a caucasian, and the internet has pretty much exploded. Dolezal is the President of the Spokane NAACP chapter, and as it turns out, has been “disguising” herself as an African American woman for years.
Many of Dolezal’s family members, including her own mother, have come forward to say that their daughter was very much born caucasian:
“Her effectiveness in the causes of the African-American community would have been so much more viable, and she would have been more effective if she had just been honest with everybody,” Ruthanne Dolezal said.
Dolezal’s parents aren’t the only ones with thoughts, however. The hashtag #Transracial has started trending on Twitter, and boy do people have a lot of feelings about this!

Dolezal herself has not yet responded to the issue fully, saying she wanted to discuss it with members of her executive committee first, and that it is a “multi-layered” issue.
