I’m not going to mince words here or hold back on my experience at this hotel. To do so would only lessen the intensity of my experience and also misrepresent the influence it had on me and still has on me.
It first served as a hospital to the mining town, then it was a brothel, then a Masonic temple. It has been featured on Ghost Mines and The Dead Files.
I am very excited to write about The White Eagle mostly because I believe I am about to tell a story. A new story. One that has not been heard before. I believe something is about to be set right. That a few souls have waited for that rest in peace thing…until it got told.
I heard rumors that the Columbia Gorge Hotel was haunted, although I did not know to what extent or exactly by whom. At any rate, I picked up the phone and decided to call and try and book a room.
Where do I even begin with this one?
When we got to the hotel to check-in, my right ear went out as soon as we entered the building. This is always my tell-tale sign that I am crossing paths with things unseen.
