I will never sit atop a crown, and I may never marry a prince, but I will always have the spirit of an outsider, of a dragon, a troll, or a furry little sidekick. I hope I never slay the dragon that lives inside.

What about the women who never get cat called? The women who get completely ignored? The women who have eyes averted from their gaze as if the man is scared he will catch her “ugliness”?

Be kind. Even to the people who don’t appear to deserve it. You are so very beautiful when you are kind.
