Recently I started to think about the types of dates I’m usually offered: Boring, mediocre dates that are not amazing but are instead completely unforgettable. We’re exhausted from lame dates such as coffee at Starbucks or going to a bar for a drink.
That’s why each moment with someone we meet on vacation feels more special and more extraordinary. You’ll be surprised at how candid, open and honest you can be with someone, knowing that this person might soon disappear into a faint memory.
An awesome date doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg, that’s for sure, and it’s way easier to think of date ideas when the weather is nice.
LA is the perfect last-minute getaway because there’s so much to do there and tons of completely free entertainment, and you don’t need to book in advance. I’ve zipped up there many times, and I’ve always booked everything less than 10 days prior with no issues.
Is being your own boss and relying solely on your own self-motivation for your livelihood scary at first? Yes. But all the risks are definitely worth the reward. The juice is worth the squeeze.
