Healing Is Not A Competition
Healing is not a competition in any way, shape or form. You do not need to be in any hurry because someone else who survived the same trauma as you has healed faster than you. Your trauma journey is individual to you.

First impressions are not last impressions. If I judged everyone I knew based on first impressions, I would not have the lasting friendships I have today.
Women supporting each other is the most nurturing, wonderful, brilliant thing, it builds lasting friendships and life long loves.
Believe me, more people will respect you for saying something than for allowing something you are uncomfortable with for the sake of being nice.
You have so much magic locked up inside you, all these dark forces preventing it from coming out.
Your parents have literally no clue what they’re doing when things go awry. Seriously though, since you’re the first, they’re also learning how to be parents for the first time. So sometimes, things go off handbook (like I don’t know, you take a ball of wool and turn the entire house into a giant spiderweb and then crouch on a doorway pretending to be a spider. Not speaking from experience or anything.), your parents don’t really know whether to laugh or to punish you
The skin that you are in is beautiful. You don’t have to be lighter. You don’t have to be darker. You don’t have to lose your scars. You don’t need to hide your stretch marks. You don’t need to wear make up unless you like it.
Pieces of you are implanted
in my mind, you carved holes
for warmth inside my bones
and you sail within my blood.
Nothing about this was ever going
to be easy, freedom was built
on backs and bones and blood.
There is so much beauty in where you come from. So much that it terrifies some of the people in this…
