Dunkin’ Donuts Is Changing Its Menu And Fans Will Probably Be Disappointed
Dunkin’ Donuts is arguably the reigning champ of coffee and doughnut shops in the U.S. I mean, have you tried their Boston Cream doughnut??? It is actual perfection.
But the company is going through some big changes, all of which are definitely going to be met with controversy: first, they decided to remove the word “Donuts” from their name and instead go by “Dunkin’.” And now they’re making a major menu change, too, and it’s definitely not what you’d expect.
The company has decided to cut down on their doughnut selection at many of their locations, cutting down their menu from 30 different kinds of doughnuts to 18.
Yep, that’s right. You may have to say goodbye to your favorite flavors.
Why? Well, it’s still kind of unclear how this change could help the company, but they claim it’ll help them find their “donut mojo.” However, aside from the 18 core flavors they plan to keep, they do plan to expand the menu based on consumer feedback and regional preferences. So… we’re keeping the Boston Cream one, right?
For now, the change is only set to happen at 1,000 stores across the U.S., and it’s still unclear which doughnuts won’t make the cut. Let’s just pray that we get to keep all our favorites, or that maybe Dunkin’ will change it’s mind about this whole thing and we can laugh it off later.
