God Can Always Hear You, So Trust In That
By Carla Morco
We all live in a fast paced environment where in everything is instantaneous. In this day and age “convenience” and “instant” has become synonymous to each other.
Today, if you get hungry, you can order food right at your fingertips. Fast-food chains has developed apps that will let you order on your mobile devices and not having to wait in queue to order food over the phone. There are some that says “If it didn’t arrive in 30 minutes, it’s free!” Wow! As a consumer, we like that! Though at some point, it makes us feel that patience is just an option. Nowadays, waiting makes us cringe. Waiting means bad service.
We easily get discouraged if we don’t get what we’re asking for in an instant. And that’s the sad reality that we live in now. Instant gratification for us has now become our happiness. The new norm. But that’s not how God works with us.
We may have a lot of things that we are asking God for. And there may be moments, if not, most of the time, it seems like God has not answered any of our prayers. There may be times we start asking ourselves, does God hear me? Why doesn’t God answer my prayers? This thought of waiting sometimes makes us unbelievers. It makes us doubt God’s power over our situation.
But I want to encourage you today that God’s timing is perfect.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
God may have a different time table than ours, it says in 2 Peter 3:8 “But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” We may not be able to get what we are asking God for right now, but know this, trust God’s timing because He makes everything beautiful in His time. In His perfect time.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
I hope this gives you hope that you need. Don’t be discouraged if God’s timing don’t synchronize with your timing because remember, God is good all the time. We may thought that whatever we are asking Him right now is really what we need right now. He may give you delays but rest assured that God hears you out. He knows what you need and what your heart desires.
“Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” (Matthew 6:8)
And always remember that everything will work out fine because God is in control.
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28)
Just trust Him and let go because He will take care of it for you. Great things are ahead for you and all we need to do is to trust Him and His perfect timing.
