Sometimes—if you’re lucky enough—you get the opportunity to have a nice meal alone; alone in a crowded restaurant. Maybe you’re traveling. Maybe you’re freshly single. Or maybe you’re like me and people annoy you most of the time. Going to the movies alone should, by now, hopefully a perfectly acceptable thing for someone to do and not be deemed pa-the-tic.
Being vulnerable takes courage, and nothing about it is easy. But the things that make us feel vulnerable and scared often end up defining who we are.
I get homesick sometimes, sure. I miss my mom, my friends, Brooklyn-style pizza. But then I remember that I made the decision to get on a plane and fly halfway around the world to take a job that will undoubtedly change my life and my future for the better.
Even though they may want to be committed when they start off, as they settle into the relationship they eventually start to see what commitment means and they find it difficult to keep up

Do I sound desperate yet? Because I shouldn’t! In so many ways, I feel I am doing what has been demanded of me: hair, makeup, figure, style, charm, confidence. Or at least it’s what I’m aiming for! I’m even domestic!
When the ceremonies and celebrations end, and the questions die down, what really is next?
