“My name is Jack and this is my partner, Malik,” the short man said with a lisp. I shook both of their hands.

“And what can I do for you, Jack?”

Jack inched towards me. “I’m the leader of the group that contacted you earlier. May I come inside?”

At first, I was hesitant, but I realized they might be here to get some information as to what happened to Robert. So I let them inside and they both sat in the same place that the first two had. As I sat in the chair next to them. Jack looked all around the room, as if he was trying to find somebody.

“So…are you like a minister?” I asked, hoping to distract Jack from scoping out my house.

He chuckled. “Well, something like that. I understand that Robert and Gregory came here earlier?”

“Oh, yeah they did. Is Robert alright?”

“Oh, he’ll be fine. But I would really like you to come to our meeting tomorrow.”

I ignored his request. “What happened to him?”

“You will find out at the meeting tomorrow.”

I could tell Jack was getting irritated that I was dodging the request.

I leaned back in my chair and sighed loudly. “Listen, I would love to go, but it’s at eight in the evening. I have work Monday, and I just don’t think I can make it.”

Jack moved to the edge of the couch. I could have sworn I heard someone moving around upstairs.

“Dominick, I don’t think you understand. I need you to come to our meeting tomorrow. I wouldn’t be so adamant if you hadn’t told other people about what happened earlier.” Jack said with a big, toothy grin.

I started getting this really odd tingling feeling in my hands, like I had a wave flowing through them.
