You’re Allowed To Have Bad Days
By Sarah Jean
You are allowed to wake up in the morning, look at the time, and want to go back to sleep.
You are allowed to not look forward to the rest of the day, or dread the inevitable interactions you will face throughout.
You’re allowed to throw on a frumpy outfit if you don’t feel like getting fixed up for once. You are allowed to be upset, whether or not you have a logical reason to be. You are allowed to want to yell and scream at the top of your lungs, or get frustrated by the most minor mishap.
You are allowed to be in the company of people you care about, even if you aren’t in the highest of spirits. You are allowed to be grumpy if you didn’t get as much sleep as your mind and body needed last night. You are allowed to be disappointed by other peoples sour attitudes on top of your own.
You are allowed to eat your weight in chips because you couldn’t muster the desire to eat something healthier. You are allowed to fuck up whether that be over something intricately complex or something completely simple.
You are allowed to underperform at work because you didn’t want to be there today. You’re allowed to cry if you are feeling sad or overwhelmed.
You are allowed to be in a funk. You are allowed to make mistakes. You are allowed to have bad days. You are allowed to be human. Never forget this.
