44. The Wasps. They were a group of women who flew aircrafts for the U.S. during WWII. Their duties were always aviation based, but they did pretty much anything in that field that the military wanted at any time. They were all well-trained pilots but were still not allowed to be considered part of the military when it came to benefits. This meant that they got hand-me-down uniforms from male personal and weren’t treated with the same respect. Even better yet, en had to learn to fly one or two specific aircrafts, while these women learned how to fly almost all the different types at the time, and every one had different instrument panels and such.
